Vanesa Zafra (Granada, Spain, 1980)
She has a Fine Arts degree from the University of Granada and several other degrees accrediting her as specialist in image creation and management. Many of her professional suppositions arose from her work for Granada’s Music Club Pub, for which she was in charge of advertising and posters. This is when she started to understand illustration as an element that surpassed mere informative aspects. She focuses her work around a communicative and artistic element, whether they are in the street or in a gallery. An example of this supposition include her other work; the complete graphic design for the pop group, Lori Meyers, for Houston Party Records and Universal Music Spain. She designed and illustrated for groups including Los Elementos and Pleasant Dreams, the latter for Green UFOs Records, along with the posters for the Ladybug Transistor group from New York. Within the media she has published illustrations for the digital magazine Rock is Roll. She has been a graphic, corporate, style and textile designer for Phineas S.L. She has collaborated with the director, Felix Viscarret, in designing the OST for his movie “Bajo las Estrellas” and with the architect Santiago Cirugeda in the architectural project “AAAbierta.” She has also illustrated for the webpage header of the Tertulia Andaluza culture and art webpage Meanwhile she develops personal illustration projects in series such as September girls, Dulces Sueños (Sweet Dreams) or Dark sides. |
