José Luis Serzo (Albacete, Spain, 1977)
Fine Arts studies at Madrid’s Complutense University. Serzo is a young multidisciplinary artist, recognised for his exhibitions-stories. Post Show, El fantástico vuelo del hombre cometa, Thewelcome, Los sueños de I Ming or Familasia, la isla de los virtuosos are just some of his series, which through painting, drawing, photography, objects, installations, video and literature as the line of argument, tell somewhat fantastical tales with an optimistic transcendence. Serzo works for a new paradigm where beauty, harmony and conscientiousness rule. His stories are created under an extraordinary technical mastery and an intricate presentation. His work has been shown in both national and international exhibitions. Highlighting the following galleries: Siboney (Santander), Blanca Soto (Madrid) Sicart (Barcelona) and Ferran Cano (Palma de Mallorca); Fairs including ARCO; Estampa, Diva NY; ArteBa; Art Cologne; Artelisboa, Artesantander. Art Museums and centres including: Kunstbunker Tumulka, Munich; Albacete Museum; Adra Museum, Conde Duque Cultural Centre, CAM´s Young Artist Centre; La Sala Naranja; San Sebastián´s International Contemporary Culture Centre, Matadero, Madrid, Kursaal Kutxaespacio for art, San Sebastián, etc; When creating and individualising his works to illustrate new projects, he combines his complete imagination, creativity and technical mastery to provide a final product with a value added.
