Isabel de la Sierra (Santander, 1978)
Even though she was born in Cantabria’s Santander, she considers herself both Cantabrian and Asturian. Her mastery is in prints, from which she has received awards from the Centro Cultural Caja Astur, Oviedo’s Art School and Calcografía Nacional As a graphic designer and illustrator she is director of art for the "El niño del Perro rojo” collective and previously also for Zeliz magazine, where we can see some of her most characteristic illustrations. We must also mention some of her key clients: The Principality of Asturia´s Regional Government; Obra Social y Cultural CajAstur; Grupo Alsa; The Wassabi Espai Graphic Design Studio, Barcelona; Sistemas Sico S.L; Action Weekend Music Festival, or Dr Chesky´s Publishing Services. Her works have also been presented in several halls, including: Vértice Gallery, Oviedo; Calcografía Nacional´s Exhibition Hall, Madrid; Aoya Museum, Totori, Japon; Miniprint Rosario, Argentina; Salamanca´s Museum of Fine Arts; Llotja Art School, Barcelona or Casa de Asturias in Madrid. Her works are amongst the public collections at the Spanish National Library; CajAstur´s Cultural Foundation; Aoya Museum, Japan and Catalonia´s Property Register. |
